How should I proceed ?
The new online application procedure, which is managed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in liaison with higher education institutions, is now operational and mandatory in more than twenty countries.
The online admission application allows you to create a personal electronic file. The procedure is quick and simple and can be completed at your own pace. You will be asked to make a financial contribution.
This new procedure significantly accelerates response time from education institutions and visa formalities, allowing you adequate time to prepare for your trip.
The electronic file enables students to :
- present a single application file to all member institutions that might potentially accept your application:
- discuss with their CampusFrance office the preparation and follow-up of the admission application.
The personal interview
CampusFrance's services include a personalized interview to evaluate the student's study goals, and possibly a French test as well. The opinion given at the interview will supplement the visa application electronic file.
If you reside in one of the countries mentioned opposite, you can already create your file.

When a student visa is needed, this online procedure is mandatory. The residence permit is then automatically granted to students who enroll in a member institution.
